choko beer festival

our largest annual event

Always on the Last Saturday in September at The Laurence Hall, Cholsey

Every year, on the last Saturday of September, the village come together to raise funds and sign-off the summer in style at The CHOKO Beer Festival.

Our family-friendly festival has been running since 2009 and has fast become one of the highlights of the social calendar in Cholsey and the surrounding areas. It is also our most effective fundraising event contributing over 80% of everything we raise each year.

The event is always a fun day with live music being performed, and an exciting selection of Ales and Ciders for visitors to sample, as well as a full Gin/Pimms/Prosecco bar. There is an all day barbecue and street-food style supper options, plus entertainment for kids and all in a secure and safe setting at Laurence Hall.

The event usually raises around £10,000 which goes towards supporting our principal charity – Go M.A.D in Tanzania – who attend our event with their team, and also the Cholsey School PTA and The Cholsey Volunteers who contribute towards the running of the day.

The day relies upon and is only made possible by the generosity of so many people including volunteers, sponsors, musicians, local suppliers and local service providers.

We are always looking to talk to people who might like to get involved in the organising team or who might like to volunteer at the event.

Please contact chokobeerfestival@gmail.com to discuss getting involved.
