fundraising
We hold two major events each year, both of which have become fixtures in the village calendar. The September Beer Festival, now a popular family event, is the principal fundraiser, and the annual Colour Run often generates funding for some substantial pieces of equipment and resources.
We also usually manage to put our singing voices to work in an annual karaoke event, Karachoke, and work in partnership with other village groups to operate the bar in village events

In 2020 during COVID, we sold beer boxes to raise money with the help of our local brewery, Amwell Springs
sponsorship
Many local businesses sponsor barrels at the Beer Festival, and one major sponsor each year provides the commemorative beer glasses which come with the admission ticket. Some villagers sponsor the food, and we often receive voluntary donations.
We welcome individual donations throughout the year at events in which we participate, and are hoping to see more regular monthly donations. The fact that people can see for themselves what Graham and the team do in Tanzania offers a direct link to the positive good which their generosity makes happen.

Extraordinary Experiences
Many of CHOKO’s members have had the privilege to visit many of the places that our charitable support reaches.
We have also had visits to the UK by members of the communities that we have supported.
