A couple of weeks after the colourful excitement of May Day, CHOKO brought the party indoors with a throwback to remember — our Over-18s 90s Disco Evening, held at Cholsey Great Hall.
This unforgettable night was all about great tunes, good vibes, and raising funds for Go MAD in Tanzania, the inspiring charity we continue to support in their mission to uplift rural communities in Tanzania.
Our very own CHOKO Resident DJ – DJ Dan Mayer – had the crowd on their feet all night, spinning classic 90s anthems that had everyone singing, dancing, and reliving their favourite musical memories. From club bangers to unmistakable pop hits, the dance floor was buzzing with energy. Seeing everyone recall the dance moves to Whigfield and Los Lobos was utterly brilliant. (We understand there may even be video evidence of this in circulation).
Meanwhile, the CHOKO team kept the bar running smoothly, serving up drinks and adding to the fantastic atmosphere. Laughter, dancing, and a true sense of nostalgia formed the backdrop for the night.
Thanks to everyone who attended — and threw their best moves into the mix — we’re proud to share that the event raised over £850 for Go MAD in Tanzania. That’s money that will go directly towards projects improving healthcare, education and clean water access.
